António José Nogueira dos Santos (born 21 September 1963 in Lisbon), known as Nogueira, is a retired Portuguese footballer who played mainly as a defender.
During his professional career, which he began well into his 20's, Nogueira represented Clube Oriental de Lisboa, SG Sacavenense, Académico de Viseu (his first top division experience, aged 25), A.D. Fafe, F.C. Penafiel, Boavista FC (his most solid period, inclusively playing in the UEFA Cup) and Vitória de Setúbal. He retired at nearly 34.
Nogueira gained seven caps for Portugal - his debut coming in 1991 - scoring twice.
